Me playing with ai, I’m over here playing with AI yall, I enjoyed prompting except for the part where I have to do so much extra just to get brown skin ugh… ai even represents the carelessness that goes into creating something where we can all see ourselves represented.

“This represents the man that we outwardly see as spiritually elevated, we hear his talk, we see his higher version of himself but we cannot go in and do their spiritual surgery for them. We are not their Dr. God is their source. NOT YOU. They have to face their shadows and we have to stop being their buffer. This is where we give our life force away. When we stay on our thrown they have to rise up to us. They have to do the work. They cannot rely on our power they have to honor the Divine feminine within their own beingness. “

My grandmother was born in this era, but 1932 in particular was a year where many of the seeds of our sovereignty were being sewn and growing roots,🌿it was a year when women began to recognize they were holding entire worlds together.🌍🤗💃🏽

When the Great Depression tried to break families, the feminine rose in quiet strength.💪🏽

When women began to take on a certain independence, some had to, some deeply longed to… either side they were on they worked through ridicule & judgment, stretched what they had, trusted their intuition, and kept their inner light on.✨

Women embodied resilience. Resourcefulness. Spiritual grit.
The kind of strength grandmothers are made of.
I carry that. I honor that deeply.🙏🏾🤲🏽💐

Black women were building mutual-aid circles, leading communities, and keeping everyone fed, clothed, and spiritually grounded. They saw things that most couldn’t due to their deep rooted alchemy of pain. Their spiritual strength was unmatched. I carry that.⚔️💔❤️‍🩹❤️

In honor of my living, dancing grandmother, Lula Woods who birthed in that era had the strength to raise 10kids in one of the Atlanta projects, a lot of it as a single Matriarch. All who live have families of their own, all who are gone but not forgotten left behind their own continued lineage. She never forgets to take care of herself. Her silent but powerful strength, I carry with me.💐🌷🥀🌹🌻🪷

So when I say Back 2 Me, I mean back to recognizing all of my strength while also honoring my softness. I am able to flow in ways the ancestors couldn’t freely do. My sovereignity is a gift. In honor of my grandmothers that have passed on.
