Dr. Brothers was born in New York City and raised in New Jersey and South Florida. He earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with honors in organic chemistry research, and received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society.
He completed his internship at Baylor College of Medicine under Dr. Michael E. DeBakey, followed by a general surgery and trauma residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. His plastic and reconstructive surgery training was completed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with additional advanced cosmetic surgery training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. Dr. Brothers is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and the founder of the Plastic Surgery Centre of Atlanta, P.C., where he is widely published and frequently lectures in the
field of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
