Spectrum of Color, Inc. Our goal is provide autism awareness and services with focus in under served minority communities. Also known as PDD-NOS/ Aspergers Syndrome.

At the age of 8 our daughter was diagnosed with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder called Pervasive Developmental Delay. Like many parents,we had never hear of such a thing and thought there was just one type of Autism. After speaking to many teachers, parents & medical professionals we learned that African American children are often misdiagnosed. They are labeled as having ADHD & behavioral problems, which cases them to be medicated or excessively disciplined. There is no cure or medication for ASD. But with the proper services and methods it can be managed. Our goal is to bring awareness to our community about the Autism Spectrum, particularly the lesser know, Aspergers Syndrome disorder.
