Employee Spotlight: Let's hear it for Emma!

Since joining Resurgens in August 2024, Emma has made a strong impact as a Medical Assistant working in a clinical float role. Her position allows her to support multiple providers across various specialties, giving her broad clinical exposure and hands‑on experience in patient care.

Emma enjoys the ever‑changing schedule and prides herself on building strong working relationships with physicians, PAs, and fellow MAs, while delivering high‑quality care to every patient she meets. A Georgia Tech graduate with a degree in biology, she found Resurgens through LinkedIn while seeking meaningful clinical experience.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending time with friends, being outdoors, and relaxing with her two cats, Stella and Simone. She describes Resurgens as a collaborative, supportive environment that feels like a second family and credits her clinical leaders and physicians as mentors who have helped her grow professionally.

Looking ahead, Emma plans to pursue PA school in 2027, building on the diverse clinical skills and knowledge she continues to gain every day at Resurgens.

Resurgens Orthopaedics is hiring a Full-Time DME Coordinator.

We’re looking for someone with clinical knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the confidence to communicate clearly with patients and providers alike.

In this role, you’ll:
• Manage our Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Program on-site
• Properly fit and educate patients on orthopedic braces and devices
• Navigate insurance, authorizations, and billing processes
• Track inventory and ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid
• Deliver exceptional service to patients, families, and physicians

This is more than inventory and paperwork. It is patient education, recovery support and helping people get back to doing what they love. A background in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related clinical experience is preferred.
