The Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority

The Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority The FDHA focuses on promoting the general health of the community and advocating for the indigent.

As Owners of the Grady Health System, the FDHA (the "Authority") works to eliminate health disparities in the metro Atlanta by serving as a resource for individuals and families seeking information and access to quality health services in Fulton and DeKalb counties. We also work by assisting metro Atlanta public health professionals in overcoming barriers that may prevent them from providing needed care.

We are used to making to-do lists.

Today, try a stop doing list.

What are you doing out of habit, pressure, or routine that no longer needs your energy?

Wellness is not always about adding more. Sometimes it is about subtracting what no longer serves the work or you.

Midweek is a good time to reassess.

This week, we’re talking food upcycling, which is basically using what you already have before it ends up in the trash.

That could mean turning leftovers into another meal, freezing fruits or veggies before they go bad, or using scraps, like veggie ends, for things like broth. Getting creative with your food can help cut down on waste and help you maximize your grocery budget.

Not everything requires an immediate response.

Taking a moment to prioritize, reflect, and respond with intention can reduce stress and improve focus throughout the day. Urgency has its place, but so does clarity.

This Wellness Wednesday is a reminder that pacing and perspective are key to long-term well-being.

Wellness Wednesday check in.
Instead of rushing through the night, what would it look like to romanticize it a little?

Not in a big or aesthetic way. Just slowing down enough to make the evening feel intentional. A warm bath, journaling, skincare, lighting a candle, or a cup of tea. Whatever feels realistic after a long day.

It does not have to be a routine. Even a small pause can change the tone of the night.

Here’s to softer evenings.
