"Why stay at the hotel for the GPA Annual Meeting when you live in or near Atlanta? There are MANY benefits... the enjoyable discussions with new acquaintances and old friends who you haven’t caught up with socially since our last in-person meeting... the chance to carry on the stimulating discussion triggered by that last session you attended... or just not wanting to drive home (in traffic!) after a glass of wine relaxing with friends and colleagues... AND not wanting to get up early to fight the TRAFFIC to get to breakfast with exhibitors, wellness activities, and morning sessions! Regardless of your reason, don’t fight it - beat it - and stay at the GPA Annual Meeting hotel for a night or three... you deserve it!"

The Only Organization Working For Psychologists In Georgia

The Georgia Psychological Association (GPA) is the state association for all psychologists working or residing in Georgia. GPA is a primary provider of continuing education programs. The association employs a lobbying team and has a Legal and Legislative Committee that actively protects psychologists at the state level. Additionally, GPA hosts numerous socials, networking opportunities, meetings and virtual events. Members receive important notifications and resources through the association's newsletters and mailings. GPA gives back to the community through public health fairs, public education through social media, and providing doctoral expertise to the media and local organizations. The membership of the Association is comprised of psychologists, and both graduate and undergraduate psychology students. GPA has clinical, academic, government, educational, industrial/organizational, forensic and many other types of psychologists within the membership. In the 20017-18 membership, GPA had over 950 members.
