Domestic violence does not exist in isolation. It often grows within systems that have historically minimized women's voices, dismissed their pain, and normalized control over their lives.
Women experiencing abuse are not only navigating the harm caused by one person- they are often facing disbelief, victim-blaming, and societal pressures that make it harder to speak out or seek safety.
Patriarchal norms can silence survivors, protect abusers, and reinforce the idea that women should endure rather than resist.
But every survivor who speaks, every advocate who listens, and every community that believes survivors helps challenge those systems.
Supporting survivors is not only about responding to abuse. It is about creating a world where power, safety, and dignity belong to everyone.
