Advanced Hearing Centers will assist you in utilizing any hearing care insurance benefits you may have through your medical policy. Insurance benefit levels vary widely and are a fairly new offering by insurance. Still 95% of policies do not have any coverage for hearing aids. Many policies have “out of network” benefits that may be helpful, however usually high deductibles stand in the way and present a challenge.

If you will be paying for your device in full we ask that half of the payment be made the day of your fitting, and the remainder be paid upon delivery of the aid.

RIC HEARING AIDS

Hearing aids that sit behind-the-ear are the most common and simplest style to fit. The device has enough physical size to house advanced microchips, Bluetooth antennas and a sizable battery. These hearing aids will have the most options available and the widest range of prices.

Typically the microphone and all the electronic “guts” are in the behind-the-ear part, but a translucent thin wire transmits sound to the transceiver that sits in a discreet black rubber dome in the ear canal. These devices are pretty simple to place and remove and have 1-2 buttons that allow for direct adjustments.

The unit itself comes in a variety of colors to match hair/skin coloring in a discreet natural manner.

RIC hearing aids are the most popular option and are made by all major manufacturers.

ABOUT YOUR FIRST VISIT

We can usually work in a new patient evaluation same-day, however scheduling in advance is recommended of course!

Most full hearing aid evaluations will take about 1 1/2 hours, so please be sure to allow for plenty of time in your schedule. We will have a minimal amount of paperwork that we ask you to fill out, so please arrive a few minutes early to take care of this.
