🎤 Workshop announcement!

“Who’s on the Stage?”

Exploring nervous system science and attachment theory for a more embodied, authentic performance. 🌟

In this in-person introductory workshop, participants will be invited to reflect on their performance art and explore the chemistry of fight/flight, dorsal-vagal shut-down and freeze. These states often arise during a performance and can result in stage fright and cause us to disembody.

Content will include an introduction to autonomic nervous system function, emphasizing the influence of the vagus nerve as outlined in Dr. Stephen Porges’ Polyvagal Theory. 🧠

Participants will learn Chi for Two® partner practices designed to help recognize and stabilize instances of transference and countertransference, as well as trauma responses that may emerge on stage. You are invited to bring an instrument of your choice, but it is not required. 🎸🥁
