Someone is glad mommy is back home (AGAIN).
Cats do not love it when you travel, but thankfully daddy stayed home to maintain that very important consistency and routine cats, and most animals, need so much.

Where are my DELMARVA PEEPS!?!? I need your help, PLEASE SHARE. You never know who may see this that would be interested. Our estate sale person flaked out on us at the last minute and now we are trying to advertise ourselves. Help us find a good home for Mom's precious things!

Starting April 18th we will host this sale for four consecutive Saturdays until everything is gone, you do not want to miss this, the items span more than a century, it's incredible!

A fascinating study on the feeding behavior of cats.
It broaches some interesting points, could changing your senior cats food aid with more enthusiastic eating, I have found this to be true with all of my older cats. Conversely, could sticking with the same weight loss diet for an overweight cat be more effective hoping they make the choice to eat a bit less?

Turns out there might be a very understandable reason why your cat leaves its bowl half-empty.

This is so telling. This is why most of the cat videos we see on the internet are NOT humorous. These clips often depict cats that are stressed, fearful, frustrated or angry!

This is also why nearly every cat benefits from a calming “pre-med” or even a pre-med cocktail of different drugs prior to a medical, grooming or surgical appointment. At my office, very few patients arrrive completely sober, this is for their benefit! Sadly, many pet parents do not see it that way and take offense that their cat requires medication before a visit. The goal is to decrease their stress and fear, ensure gentle, humane handling and ensure safety for all parties.

A study of nearly 2,000 participants found that human ability to recognize feline stress from visual cues is better than chance but not by much.

What is the most dangerous thing your cat may come into contact with over Easter?
1. Lilies
2. Easter grass
Sure, there are other dangers like chocolate, but not a lot of cats eat a chocolate Easter Bunny, that's more of a dog thing. PLEASE, DO NOT allow Lilies in your home. ONE bite of one TINY petal is enough to be fatal!

Just say NO! If you are given a bouquet of flowers, enjoy them OUTSIDE! If your cats go outside, educate the gift giver and say "Thank you, but no"!

I’d say someone is glad we are back home! An incredibly rare belly up sighting by Finn, relaxed, content, did not bolt while taking photo! One must remember to give these relationships time, and for a cat, that might mean 7 years till they blossom! Finn was even social with our pet sitter, played and allowed her to medicate him! Incredible!
