Recently, Richmont Graduate University was represented at the Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS) Conference, a leading gathering of Christian professionals and scholars in counseling, psychology, and related fields.

Through the presence of our faculty, alumni, and admissions leadership, Richmont continues to contribute to conversations shaping the future of counseling and mental health care.

Richmont's School of Counseling hosted an overnight student retreat in Flowery Branch, GA at Eagle Ranch. The retreat was for CMHC students who will begin their counseling internship next month in May 2026 and hosted 73 students and 7 faculty and staff. Students had the chance to learn, make new connections, and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.

Dr. Jon Ebert from Vanderbilt, and an adjunct faculty for Richmont, spoke to the interns on how to utilize the ARC Model (attachment, emotional regulation, and competence) for their own growth and health as a new professional.

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion held the final Multicultural Stories of the semester: AI and Culture. Dr. Kathleen Bazile and guest speaker Joy Drake discussed the impact AI is having on both counseling and the church. The event included free lunch and a raffle giveaway won by a prospective student visiting campus for our Explore Richmont event.

Our next Multicultural Stories will be in September, we can't wait to see you there!

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion's annual Multicultural Potluck invited members of the Atlanta campus to bring cultural food and items to share with each other. Attendees enjoyed lunch while discussing the multitude of backgrounds that make up Richmont. We are proud to foster a vibrant community of students, faculty, and staff!

Laura, a 2024 graduate of Richmont’s School of Ministry and Executive Editor of WebMD, is an award-winning journalist whose work reflects a passion for meaningful storytelling, faith, and service. Richmont visited New Life Church in Canton, Georgia with Doctor of Ministry candidate Pastor Allan Malloy. Pastor Malloy has been pursuing his doctorate while also serving as Senior Pastor and doing mission work worldwide. He invited Richmont to share information about our counseling and ministry programs with the New Life congregation.

Visits like this are part of Richmont’s Church Connections Strategy, which builds relationships with ministries and congregations who are helping bring healing, restoration, and transformation to the world. Thank you Pastor Allan and New Life for your amazing hospitality.

Richmont’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program has officially received CACREP reaffirmation through 2034.

During the review process, the CACREP site-visit team described Richmont’s evaluation as “setting the standard” for what a CACREP site visit should be. This recognition reflects the strength of our faculty, clinical training, academic rigor, and the incredible engagement of our students and alumni.
