Richmont alumni attended the Mental Health in Missions Conference in Dallas Texas, learning to serve those in missions and cross cultural work. This is a hallmark of Richmont Trauma Center's mission and part of the Center for Global Fieldworkers - a subset of clinicians who specialize in helping helpers - particularly those in international ministry work. The Richmont Trauma Center also attended the Noonday Resource fair in Marietta to connect with other front line trauma-informed agencies and churches to find ways to partner, help Richmont interns build case loads, and be a blessing to the community.

Richmont has had an incredible season of connection with the Cobb Chamber over the past few months.

In November, Richmont attended the Compassion in Action event focused on community healing and trauma-responsive services, perfectly aligned with our mission. We connected with leaders like Lisa Mello of LiveSafe Resources and Melissa Cantrell, the Chamber’s 2026 Chairwoman of the Board. Both highlighted the growing need for well-trained counselors and ministries like Richmont. These conversations reinforced how important it is for Richmont to stay visible and engaged in our community.

On December 15th, we joined the State of South Cobb luncheon at the Riverside EpiCenter, where our own School of Ministry professor, and EPICenter General Manager, Dr. Chris Boyd, served as moderator and gave Richmont a wonderful shout-out. Updates from Mayors Ollie Clemons, Michael Owens, and Al Thurman highlighted promising growth across South Cobb.

December 17th, we represented Richmont at a Chamber event featuring our board member Angie Smith, Founder of Mission 1:27. Angie deliv ered an inspiring message on service, stewardship, and strengthening families.

We’re grateful for the conversations, connections, and opportunities these events created. Richmont is committed to staying engaged and serving our community well in 2026.

Richmont Graduate University had an incredible time at Word of Faith this weekend. Director of Marketing and Communications, Rochelle Mason, and Therapist/Admissions Counselor, Celina Noble, represented Richmont and shared information about our Master's degrees in Ministry and Counseling with Bishop Bronner's congregation.

Richmont connected with members who are passionate about their calling, and had meaningful conversations about how our degrees can support their ministry and counseling goals. We are grateful for Dr. Christopher Boyd, a leader at Word of Faith and a professor in the Richmont School of Ministry, for helping make this visit possible. It was also a joy connecting with Pastor Courtney Wright, a long-time friend of Richmont and an instrumental leader in the formation of one of our School of Ministry programs.

We are excited for the great things to come with Word of Faith Cathedral!
