šØ Important Update for Georgia Nurses & APRN Students šØ
The U.S. Department of Education is preparing new federal student loan caps but nursing is being left out of the higher āprofessional degreeā category.
That means future APRNs and graduate nursing students would be limited to:
ā”ļø $20,500 per year
ā”ļø $100,000 lifetime
Meanwhile, other āprofessionalā programs may receive:
ā”ļø $50,000 per year
ā”ļø $200,000 lifetime
This gap could make advanced nursing education harder to access and afford.
The American Nurses Association is mobilizing a national campaign to get nursing included and GNA will be involved every step of the way.
