Lincoln, IL -- Duane L. Windmiller, 75, of Lincoln, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta with Mr. Doug Maris officaiting. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.

Duane Luy Windmiller was born on July 20, 1950, in Kankakee, Illinois, the son of Robert and Almeda Luy Windmiller. He was united in marriage to Susan Powell on May 23, 1981. She survives.

Also surviving are his children: Amanda (Josh) Koonce, Andrew (Andrew Hanson) Windmiller and Robert (Janelle) Windmiller; five grandchildren: Noah Tosh, James (Josiah) Allen, Mason Tosh, Gabriel Koonce, and Arya Koonce; two brother: Glynn (Karen) Billingsley and Keith Windmiller; one sister: Roberta Windmiller; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter: Ashley Windmiller.

Duane graduated from East Ridge High School in 1968 and then served in the United States Marine Corp. He retired from Aqua Illinois in Kankakee after 50 years of service. He was a member of Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Bourbonnais, Illinois.

He was an avid history person, loved doing crossword puzzles and enjoyed watching the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Black Hawks and Chicago Bears.

Memorials may be made to Parkinson Foundation.

Lincoln -- Jason A. Etherton, 50, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at his home.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at his home. Cremation Rites have been accorded.

Jason Andrew Etherton was born on March 20, 1975, in Bloomington, the son of Harry Randall Etherton. He was united in marriage to Kelly Guffey-Hankins on May 1, 2022. She survives.

Also surviving are his stepchildren: Branden Schnieder and Harlan (Haden) Hankins, III; one brother: Mark (Melody) Etherton; one sister: Tracy (Brian) Sager; stepmother: Nancy Hoover; his nieces and nephews: Harmony Etherton, Rebecca (Aaron) Buchheit, and Gregory Amburgey .

He was preceded in death by his father.

Jason graduated from Olympia High School in 1993 and later from Lincoln College. He was employed by the State of Illinois in the Illinois Department of Revenue.

He was very passionate about music and loved playing his guitar. Ni****ne Poetic and The Jay Cannon Project were two of many bands he played with. He also loved camping and sitting by the fire while entertaining family and friends. He also loved a good slot machine.

Atlanta -- Charles "Ozzie" J. Koller, 89, of Lincoln, formerly of Atlanta, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Graveside Services for Mr. Koller will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at the Atlanta Cemetery with Dr. LC Sutton officiating.

Visitation will be held at the Quiram Peasley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Burial will be in the Atlanta Cemetery.

Charles J. Koller, Jr. was born in Peoria on February 5, 1937, the son of Charles J. Koller, Sr. and Doris Dieckow Koller. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Marie Dano on March 4, 1957. She survives.

Also surviving are his two sons: Charles J. Koller III and Steve (Tracy) Koller; two grandchildren: Rob Koller and Jaclyn Koller; and three great-grandchildren: Keigan Hoster, Lylah Koller and Lily Koller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son: Greg Koller, one brother: Roger Koller, and one sister: Nancy Long.

Charles graduated from Limestone Community High School in Bartonville in the class of 1955. He was employed at R.A. Cullinan-Rowe Construction for many years. He was a member of Local IUOE #649 of Peoria.

His hobbies include trail rides on his mules, gardening, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of the Logan County Mounted Patrol associated with Logan County Sheriff's Office.

James "Jim" L. Johnson

Bloomington -- James “Jim” L. Johnson, 93, of Bloomington, Illinois, left this earthly life on March 4, 2026.

Jim was born to Oren Brock and Alma Leesman Johnson on March 2,1933. He and his sisters Mary Jane, Joyce, and Judy were raised in Atlanta, Illinois. He graduated from Atlanta High School in 1951.

Jim married his wife of 67 years, Barbara “Barb” Brandt, on March 29, 1958. Together they moved to Minier, where they spent most of their life, and had a daughter, Pamela (Gregory) Lee, and a son, Andrew Johnson. Jim found great joy in loving his two grandchildren, Kristen Lee (Luke) Arnold and Ryan (Tori) Lee. His four great-granddaughters, Lorelei and Anabelle Arnold and Ryan and Tori’s two daughters were the lights of his life.

Jim proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as a diesel mechanic. After his Military service, Jim returned to his career at Caterpillar where he would retire after 40 years. He was then employed by the Olympia C.U.S.D. #16 bus garage, servicing buses, and at times serving as a substitute bus driver.

In Jim’s early years, he attended Eminence Christian Church, rural Atlanta. After marriage, he became a member of Minier Christian Church, where he and Barb raised their family and enjoyed the community together. He was a member of the Minier Legion and a fierce euchre player.

For many years Jim grew fruits and vegetables in his garden and was well known for his horseradish. Jim enjoyed hunting deer and morel mushrooms, and fishing—all ways that he fed his family. Jim valued time with his family and friends and often entertained with his wife at their Minier Lake cabin, where they were long-time members. If you were lucky enough to enjoy some of the fish that Jim fried, you know that his special batter recipe is one to remember.

Jim was very thankful for his time at Holly Brook Towanda Barnes, Bloomington. He was well loved and cared for by the staff and residents.

Jim is survived by his son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, three sisters, wife, daughter, son, and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Services will be held at Minier Christian Church on Monday, March 9, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Minister Brady Cremeens will officiate. A brief graveside service will follow at Mountjoy Cemetery, rural Atlanta.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LittleGalilee.org (LGCC) Fishing Camp in Jim’s memory.

Atlanta, IL – Laura Jean Gresham, 61, of Atlanta, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

Funeral Services for Laura will be held at Jefferson Street Christian Church in Lincoln on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with Mr. Michael Mallick officiating. Burial will follow at the Atlanta Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Jefferson Street Christian Church on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Laura Jean Cole was born in Danville, IL, on May 10, 1964, the daughter of Charles Richard and Nancy Lee Shipman Cole. She was united in marriage to Jimmie Dean Gresham on June 8, 2002.
Laura is survived by her husband and one sister, Betsy Ann Cole.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Laura was a 1982 graduate of Warrensburg-Latham High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Eastern Illinois University in 1986. She had been a teacher at St. Teresa High School in Decatur, IL, and a State Farm Claims Representative. She worked for the Decatur Herald & Review as a sports clerk and computer operator for 22 years. She was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church in Lincoln, and enjoyed reading and traveling, especially to the Gulf Coast and Mississippi.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or an organization of the donor’s choice.

Wilma Jean Adams was born November 4, 1941, in Pontiac, IL, the daughter of William and Dorothy Harris Adams. She was united in marriage to Gilbert LeRoy Landrus on May 1, 1960. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2022.

Wilma is survived by her children: Lori (Gary) Klink and Larry Landrus; siblings: Wayne (Louise) Adams, Bill (Eric) Adams, Ron (Reeta) Adams, Betty (Bill) Brockett, Margie (Don) Ferguson, Randy (Judy) Adams and Tina (Leland) Soule; grandchildren: Jeff Crews, Brittany Rodriguez, Brian (Destany) Crews, Kellie Landrus, and Kaity (Alex) Horn; and great-grandchildren: Lana Crews, Kaleb Crews, Grayson Crews, Isabelle Rodriguez, and Meena Raychaudhuri.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Nancy Brennan, Shirley Elmore, Sharon Bull, and Chuck Adams.

Wilma was a 1959 graduate of Pontiac Township High School and had run a home daycare for many years. She enjoyed traveling, visiting with family, and spending time with her grandkids.

Wilma’s family is especially thankful for the heartfelt care she received at Accolade Healthcare.

Atlanta -- Betty A. Applegate, 97, of Atlanta, passed away at Timber Creek Village in Lincoln on Friday, February 6, 2026.

Services for Mrs. Applegate will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will conclude with a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Deborah J. Johnston officiating.

Burial will be at a later date in the Atlanta Cemetery.

Betty Ann Brink was born on April 15, 1928, in Arrowsmith, the daughter of George and Lena Goff Brink. She was united in marriage to Donald L. Small on October 4, 1946. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1971. She was later united in marriage to Richard "Dick" P. Applegate on September 8, 1984. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2023.

She is survived by her children: Rick (Tina) Small, Joseph (Ligia) Applegate, Priscilla (Luke) Hughes, and Clara Nancy Applegate, M.D. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands and one sister: Margie Wyantt.

Betty graduated from Arrowsmith High School in 1946. She was employed by General Telephone (Verizon) in the accounting department for many years. She was a member of the Atlanta United Methodist Church.

Mackinaw -- Randy E. Presswood, 66, of Mackinaw, passed away on December 27, 2025, at his home.

*** Services for Randy are scheduled for Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Armington Christian Church in Armington, IL. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Mr. Tyler Escoubas.

In honor of Randy’s love of baseball, the family asks that all who attend please feel free to wear your St. Louis Cardinals gear.

Randy E. Presswood was born on July 22, 1959, in Lincoln, the son of Floyd Presswood and Dorlis Edwards and Robert Brandt.

He is survived by his daughters: Natasha (David) Kraushaar and Tara (Colin) Heinz; one sister: Reta (Buddy) Wilson; and four grandchildren: Chuck "Charlie" Hathaway, Phoebe Kraushaar, Grace Heinz and Joseph Kraushaar.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Rose Marie Talbot.

Randy graduated from Heyworth Community High School in 1977. Randy was employed with R. A. Cullinan for many years.

He attended the Armington Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time, when he wasn't watching his grandchildren's sporting events. His grandkids were the light of his life. He always had a smile on his face when he was with them and his daughters. He was proud of every one of them and made sure to tell anyone he talked to how special they were. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fan.

Memorials may be made to the Armington Christian Church.

McLean – Donna K. Worth, 79, of McLean, passed away at Carle BroMenn Medical Center on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Cremation Rites have been accorded. A private family Celebration of Life will be held.

Donna K. Hawkins was born August 6, 1946, the daughter of Donald Eugene and Lala L. Young Hawkins. She was united in marriage to William “Bill” R. Worth on October 8, 1965, at the Waynesville United Methodist Church.

Donna is survived by her husband, Bill; two daughters, Sherry Orgler and Melissa Bailey; four grandchildren: Tyler (Dakota) Orgler, Katie Orgler, Ashley (Olivian) Jurcau, and Devin Dooley; one sister, Randa (Edward) Stanek; and one brother, Steve (Jan) Hawkins.

Donna had worked in the office of the Lincoln State School doing secretarial tasks. She was a member of the Illinois Country Music Association. According to her family, she “lived for music” and loved to dance. Donna and Bill enjoyed traveling to Branson, MO, where they attended many music shows and made many friends. She also loved following her kids’ and grandkids’ activities and was very excited to become a great-grandmother in June with the expected birth of first great-grandson.

Memorials in Donna’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
