Please join us in welcoming our newest physical therapist, Nadine Paull PT, DPT!

Nadine earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Political Science from the University of Georgia in 2016. After working in marketing and teaching group fitness in the Atlanta area, she followed her passion for movement and helping others by returning to school to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mercer University in 2022. She has done advanced coursework in dry needling through Myopain Seminars. She is also trained in the Barbell Rehab Method and Movement Links, with plans to become a certified instructor in STOTT PILATES® through Inspire Health.

Nadine’s overall goal is to get her patients back to the activities and hobbies they love, from everyday movement to sport and fitness. Her approach blends individualized exercise programming with hands-on manual therapy to restore strength, mobility, and confidence in movement. She believes rehabilitation should be purposeful, empowering, and goal-driven—helping patients not only recover, but move better for the long term

“Cellular health” gets talked about a lot… but what does it actually mean?

At its simplest, cellular health refers to how well your cells produce energy, repair themselves, communicate with one another, and respond to stress. Every movement you make, every breath you take, and every adaptation your body creates starts at the cellular level. When cells are supported, tissues recover better, inflammation is better regulated, and your body is more resilient over time.

So how do we support cellular health?
The basics matter more than any trend: consistent movement, adequate sleep, hydration, nutrition, and stress management all influence how your cells function. Purposeful movement improves circulation and oxygen delivery. Managing stress helps regulate the nervous system and inflammatory responses. Recovery allows cells time to repair and adapt.

This is where our services come in.
Working with our movement professionals helps ensure your body is moving efficiently, loading tissues appropriately, and building capacity instead of strain. Modalities like Red Light Therapy and INDIBA radiofrequency are designed to support cellular energy production, circulation, and tissue recovery—creating an environment where cells can do their jobs more effectively. These tools don’t replace movement or lifestyle habits; they enhance them.

And yes, we can track it.
Using SECA body composition scans, we can monitor markers that reflect cellular health, such as phase angle, body water distribution, and lean mass trends. These data points help us understand how your body is responding over time and guide more personalized, informed care.

Cellular health isn’t about doing everything — it’s about doing the right things consistently, with intention and support. And we’re here to help you every step of the way.

Strong rotator cuff. Great posture. Still having shoulder pain?
You’re not alone!

Shoulder pain doesn’t always come from weak muscles or poor posture. You might be doing every exercise on instagram that promises “bulletproof shoulders” and still struggling. Even with excellent strength and mobility in the shoulder joint, pain can show up when the shoulder blade isn’t moving the way it needs to.
One common culprit? Limited upward rotation of the scapula.

The shoulder is a team sport. If the scapula isn’t rotating upward smoothly as the arm lifts, the shoulder joint has to compensate. Over time, that extra load can irritate tissues, limit efficiency, and lead to pain.

This is where a trained eye matters. A physical therapist looks beyond isolated strength and posture to assess how your shoulder blade moves, coordinates, and supports the arm through real-life and athletic motion. Small movement differences can have a big impact.

Because lasting relief doesn’t always come from doing more of the same exercises, it comes from doing the right things for your movement system.

Train your eye! Can you spot the difference between the right and left shoulder blade?

The holidays are joyful… and often stressful.
And your body feels it too.

Stress doesn’t just live in your mind — it shows up in your muscles and fascia. When stress levels rise, the nervous system stays on high alert, increasing muscle tension. Over time, this can contribute to myofascial pain, inflammation, stiffness, and those familiar “knots” that don’t seem to go away.

Common stress-sensitive areas include the neck and shoulders, jaw, upper back, hips, and low back. These areas are particularly vulnerable when we’re sitting more, sleeping less, or carrying more emotional and physical load during the holidays.

A few ways to help manage stress-related musculoskeletal pain:
• Gentle movement and mobility work
• Intentional breath workto calm the nervous system
• Purposeful rest. Think meditation and adequate sleep
• Red Light Therapy for cellular health
• Physical therapy or massage to address myofascial tension, movement patterns, and pain at the source.

During this busy season, remember to take some time to check in with your physical wellbeing. If stress is showing up as pain, we’re here to help you move through the holidays with more ease. 💙

Progress is so much more than a number on the scale. SECA body composition scans help us measure the changes that truly matter.

Instead of guessing, we get real data: muscle mass, fat mass, water balance, and other markers that show how your body is adapting to your training, rehab, and daily habits.

This lets us track meaningful progress, celebrate wins you can’t always see, and create programs tailored to your unique physiology.

With SECA, we shift the focus away from weight and toward strength, function, and long-term health. Because your wellness journey deserves more than a single number. 💪

Ask your PT about SECA at your next visit!
