It is with mixed emotions that we also announce William Brown's decision to step down from the Board this year. William has devoted countless hours and energy to our group since it's original formation, and the Board is extremely grateful to him for his outstanding leadership over the years. He is ready to gain back more time with his family while continuing to be involved with our group on a member basis. Thank you, William, for helping to grow and steer this group into a steady state while also giving us so much of your positive spirit and energy. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!
With William's departure from the board, we welcome a new board member, Connor Williams, AM, LCSW, who joins the LGBTQ Therapist Resource as Board Treasurer and Membership Chair. Connor is currently working as a psychotherapist and practice manager for Live Oak Atlanta, an LGBTQ-affirming organization based in Chicago, IL with a new satellite office in Grant Park. Connor works with individuals and couples of diverse backgrounds and ages, with a specific focus on survivors of trauma, individuals looking to explore identity, LGBTQ, and gender non-conforming-identified individuals, helping professionals, and those experiencing major life transitions or ruptures. In addition, Connor provides clinical and public health consultative services through Fifth Star Collective, LLC for individuals, groups, and organizations in the areas of program planning, evaluation, quality improvement, research, data analysis, and staff training & professional development.
