📢 Calling all Nurses! Do You Really Know Where Your License Is Valid?

If you’ve moved to a new state but kept your old multistate license, you might be practicing without a valid license... and not even know it.

Under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), your multistate license must be issued by the state where you legally live (your Primary State of Residence or PSOR). That means where your driver’s license, taxes, and voter registration say you live.

So, if you've moved to a different state but haven't moved your license, you could be practicing without the legal authority to do so, even if the license looks “active.”

⚠️ Risk to your career:
- Possible disciplinary action
- Fines
- Delays getting relicensed
- Employers can lose contracts if you’re found out of compliance
