Introducing Harborstone Collective, the group experience at Anchored Wellness & Psychotherapy.

Harborstone Collective is a space for steady growth, meaningful connection, and shared work. Created as an extension of our commitment to thoughtful, trauma-informed care, Harborstone offers small, intentional groups designed to support clients beyond individual sessions.

These groups are built for real life — a place to practice skills, process experiences, and connect with others who understand. Whether you’re navigating transitions, deepening therapeutic work, or looking for consistent support, Harborstone provides structure without pressure.

What to expect:
• Therapist-led, clinically grounded groups
• Small group sizes for safety and connection
• Evening and daytime offerings
• Skills-based and process-oriented options
• Short-term and ongoing group formats

If you’ve been looking for a steady place to land between sessions, Harborstone Collective was created with YOU in mind. Check out upcoming group opportunities for adults and adolescents. Link in bio.

Spring often brings more energy, movement, and momentum. With that shift, therapy can begin to feel less urgent — and sessions naturally get spaced out.

But feeling better is often a sign that the work is taking root. Consistency during this season can help strengthen growth, deepen insight, and support lasting change.

If weekly sessions feel harder to maintain, this may be a meaningful time to:
• Join a therapy group
• Schedule an intensive
• Shift to focused, goal-oriented sessions

We’re currently offering groups and intensives designed to support deeper work in intentional ways.

Life moves fast but even a single mindful minute can make a difference especially if you are someone with a case of the “Mondays.” Today, give yourself permission to pause. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and simply notice the present moment. Your mind and body will thank you.

Forgiveness is often misunderstood.
Not as something layered, complex, and deeply personal—but as something we’re expected to “just do.”

This week’s pick gently challenges that narrative.

Why this aligns with our work at AWP:
Healing doesn’t require you to minimize your pain or rush your process. This book honors the tension many people feel—wanting peace, while still holding very real hurt. It creates space for both.

Key takeaways:
• Forgiveness is not the same as reconciliation
• You can set boundaries and still move toward healing
• Letting go is a process—not a one-time decision
• Your story deserves to be acknowledged, not bypassed

If you’ve ever felt stuck between holding on and wanting to move forward—this is a meaningful place to begin.

Reflection:
What feels harder right now?

🗳️ Poll:
• Holding on
• Letting go

Finding the right therapist is a deeply personal decision—and it’s okay if it takes time. The right fit can make all the difference in how safe, supported, and empowered you feel in your healing journey.

If you’re currently searching, consider this your reminder: you deserve a space that truly fits you.

Save this post for later or share it with someone who may be starting their therapy journey.

If you’ve ever been a client, colleague, or friend of mine, you’ve likely heard me say this time and time again: we are not meant to do this life alone.

Connection is not a luxury—it’s essential. It grounds us when life feels overwhelming, reminds us who we are when we lose our way, and gives us the strength to keep going when things feel heavy.

So often, we try to carry everything on our own. We tell ourselves we should be able to handle it, figure it out, push through. But healing, growth, and even joy are meant to be experienced in relationship—with safe, supportive others who can witness and walk alongside us.

This is your reminder: you don’t have to hold it all by yourself.

Reach out. Lean in. Let yourself be supported.

Take a mental health minute today -
Our past experiences often shape how we respond to the present—sometimes in ways we don’t even realize. Pausing to reflect can be the first step toward greater clarity, healing, and freedom.

Consider today’s question and notice what comes up for you.
Share your thoughts in the comments or tell us how you practice reflection during the week.

If you’re ready to explore these patterns more deeply, therapy can help connect the dots between your past and present. Call or text 404-496-8076 to schedule your consultation. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone.

Reflections from Eating Disorder Awareness Week:

AWP’s Director of Clinical Training, Mehak Merchant, reflects on the important conversations sparked during Eating Disorder Awareness Month in the community about perfectionism, rest, and self-care:

Alysa Liu, 2026 Winter Olympic champion, shows us that striving for excellence doesn’t require self-sacrifice. Setting boundaries and allowing yourself to rest can not only make your work more joyful but also support meaningful growth.

Research finds that people high in perfectionism often use it to feel “safe,” “in control,” or “protected from judgment” (Hall et al., 2022). Clinically, these behaviors often serve to manage difficult emotions such as shame, guilt, disappointment, or fear. Yet, research finds that over time, people high in perfectionism tend to experience increased distress, self-criticism, anxiety, lower self-esteem, and emotional rigidity.

Many believe perfectionism shields them from failure or pain, but research also shows it can reinforce burnout, limit flexibility, and contribute to restrictive or disordered eating behaviors.

If you need support navigate the challenges that come with working through tendencies of perfectionism, we’ve got you! Call or text us today to get started!
