We are pleased to invite you to a joint Georgians for a Universal Health Program / Health Students Taking Action Together advocacy day on Tuesday March 3rd from 8:30 to 12 PM at the Georgia State Capitol.

We will be holding a legislative training (site will be announced but it will be within walking distance of the Capitol), followed by an opportunity to meet with legislators, and a press rally.

New polling from Medicare For All PAC of 1,000 likely 2026 voters showed that a majority of Democrats and Independents support Medicare for All.

62% of all voters view insurance companies unfavorably and 56% of voters in battleground districts feel that we need a new healthcare system.

Voters cite a lack of control over their health, specifically the barriers imposed prior authorizations and denials, as major frustrations with our current system.

Under Medicare For All, doctors would not need to seek authorization to provide services and patients would not have to worry about denials or surprise billing.

It’s no wonder voters are prioritizing healthcare in 2026 and this poll gives more evidence that Medicare for All is a winning issue!

According to a January 2026 Kaiser Family Foundation Poll, health care costs represent the household expense that most worries American families. And it’s no wonder - in our for-profit healthcare system, premiums are skyrocketing, more Americans than ever are enrolled in high deductible plans, and surprise billing, co-pays and co-insurance add up to thousands of dollars a year in additional out-of-pocket spending. This is not sustainable for the average American family.

In a single payer system, there is no premium or deductible and all covered services are free without cost-sharing. The average family will pay a fraction of what they now pay on health care.

The time for single payer is now!
