“Biden’s inability to fire officials lead to his downfall” Charleston Gazette; 3-17-26

“President Trump relieved her because there is simply too much turbulence in that very important agency.”- Bill O’Reilly reaction to firing of Kristi Noem, Secretary of Homeland Security In my opinion, President Trump is a disaster for our nation and from his polling numbers, the public agrees ( ). He has hit an all-time low of 36% approval. Which is why he had the good sense to remove Noem, one cause of his policy failures....

Physicians are increasingly experiencing moral injury—the distress that arises when we know what care our patients need, but are prevented from providing it by insurance denials, prior authorizations, productivity quotas, and other corporate pressures.

For the past two years, Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) has conducted a nationwide research project on physician moral injury, speaking with physicians and patients across the country.

The message we heard again and again:
>> This isn’t simply burnout.
>> No amount of mindfulness can fix a system that systematically obstructs ethical, evidence-based care.

On March 24, we’ll be unveiling the topline findings from our Moral Injury Project report and discussing how clinicians, trainees, and advocates can use this research to support organizing, advocacy, and public education about the financialization of health care.

🗓 PNHP Moral Injury Webinar
📅 March 24
⏰ 8:00 PM ET

Join us for the report launch and conversation about how we restore truly patient-centered care.

The destruction of our democracy- when will enough be enough? "It is a sham — one of their own making."- then Representative Doug Collins (R-GA) For anyone who is objective, and that’s the key word here, the impeachment of Donald Trump regarding his outrageous attempts to influence the 2020 election can’t be reasonably considered a “’sham” of any sort despite what MAGA politicos stated then and now (...

GUHP and HSTAT had a very productive day visiting the Georgia State Capitol advocating for passage of HB 1480, the Georgia Medicare for All bill, and SB 380 Medicaid Expansion bill. We are incredibly grateful for , who showed up with us at the Medicare for All press conference to emphasize that universal healthcare is also a health equity policy.

A special thanks to Representatives Gabriel Sanchez, Park Cannon, Ruwa Romann, Sam Park, Angela Moore, and Susan Scott for introducing and cosponsoring the bill.

Always great to speak with such dedicated and passionate lawmakers like Representative Dr. Michelle Au, Representative Saira Draper, Representative Kim Schofield, and Representative Karla Drenner.

See you at the House Health Committee hearing!
