Do you use affirmations?
I have found affirmations to be incredibly helpful to keep my thoughts aligned with the outcomes that I want to achieve in my life.
Affirmations that are stated on a regular basis throughout the day can be used as a mantra to keep us focused and on track.
Here are a few tips to help ensure your affirmations are helping you get to your goals.
Always state your affirmation in the positive. Instead of saying, “I won’t binge eat crappy food today”, say “I eat healthy and life giving foods in the exact amounts that my body requires”.
State your affirmation in the present tense. Instead of saying, “In 3 months I will be at my goal weight”, say “ I love how my body looks and feels at my goal weight.”
Make it something believable for you. Don’t say, “I am so happy I am down 25 pounds this week.” Say, “I am so happy that I am getting healthier and closer to my goal each and every day.”
State one affirmation in the comments that you can begin to incorporate into your day.
