Meet our January Volunteers of the Month, Joe Pollard and his son JJ! ♥️

Joe has been giving back since 2011, and now he’s passing that commitment to JJ, who brings his own spark to every race day. Together, they show up early, lend a hand wherever it’s needed and share the simple but meaningful power of kindness with participants and fellow volunteers.

From handing out packets and shirts to encouraging runners through big moments on the course, the Pollards create a warm, welcoming space for everyone they meet. Even though they travel hours to be here, they never hesitate to support .

Big performances in Tallahassee by the Atlanta Track Club Masters Team 🔥

Recently, our masters athletes took on the tough Apalachee Regional Park course at the 2026 USATF Masters Club Cross Country Championships and brought home top finishes across the board.

Jill Braley won the women’s 45-49 race and Lesley Hinz topped the women’s 65-69. Podiums kept rolling with Nonie Hudnall placing second in the women’s 75-79 and Adrian Craven taking second in the men’s 85-89.

Teams added to the hardware with second in the men’s 50s, third in the men’s 60s, second and third in the women’s 70s, and third in the women’s 60s. Congratulations to all these incredible athletes!

We're ready for round two on March 1, 2026, where the nation's top distance runners will compete for a spot on Team USA at the 2026 World Athletics Road Running Championships - Half Marathon in Copenhagen, Denmark.

On Jan. 3, 2026, Stephen Peterson placed his walker on the start line by Piedmont Park for the Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race. Over the next five hours, he moved steadily toward Lenox Square, cheered on by waves of passing runners and walkers.

Crossing the finish line marked far more than a race result. It was a milestone in a journey that began last May, after Peterson sustained a spinal cord injury in a fall. Doctors told his family that there was a 5% chance he would be able to walk again, but Peterson was determined to defy odds.

Now, he looks at recovery like a training cycle, crossing finish lines and inspiring others every step of the way.
