12 Tips to Liberate Your Mind & Life in 2026”

Try to incorporate one tip every month or select a few that land with throughout the year.

1. Stop assuming people can read your mind.
Say clearly what you need.

2. Stop overgiving without reciprocity.
Protect your energy, or resentment builds.
3. Identify your boundaries proactively.
Don’t wait to accuse — define them first.

4. Stop sitting too long in self-pity.
Own your feelings, then pivot into action.

5. Don’t use ghosting or silence as communication.
Speak directly and clearly.

6. See the good in those you love and trust.
Avoid jumping to negative conclusions.

7. Practice gratitude every day.
Even the small things shift your perspective.

8. Deliberately repair ruptures in relationships.
Don’t abandon connections before trying to fix them.

9. Set a positive intention to start your day and watch how this can shift your experience.

10. Breathe deeply through your nose and mouth several times a day. This helps to activate your parasympathetic nervous system and take you out of the figh/flight/freeze response.

11. Recognize and challenge imposter syndrome.
You belong where you are — stop letting self-doubt steal your confidence.

12. Be compassionate with yourself and others.
That means Speak kindly to yourself, and remember loved ones may have invisible struggles too.

Bonus:

13. Visualize the life you want- imagining your goals makes them more likely to come into fruition and it sparks action and movement toward your goals.

Those are the tips that I can think of right now, but I’m sure there are more to come as i drop golden nuggets for mind liberation and nervous system freedom .

We are a multi-generational group practice with talented, compassionate and culturally responsive therapists here to support you on your journey toward wellness!

Our therapists and healers are carefully selected for their qualifications, integrity, skills, and ability to work with people of intersecting identities.

We offer virtual therapy for individuals, couples, family and group therapy using culturally attuned, trauma-informed, anti-oppression and liberation focused approaches toward treatment and care.

We were among the first mental health practices in Georgia to truly integrate a mind-body-spirit-centered approach to our offerings, bringing on a spiritual and energy healer who offers Chakra balancing, Reiki healing methods and Spiritual Tarot readings to support our clients.

Our work is also rooted in the following Kwanzaa principles:

{Umoja} Unity – To remember to stay united in our efforts to challenge and disrupt oppressive systems that threaten our humanity and collective healing.

{Kujichagulia} Self Determination – To prioritize and determine for ourselves how we restore ourselves. To choose spaces that center our healing and validate our humanity.

{Ujima} Collective Work and Responsibility – To build and maintain our community. Cultivating collective healing spaces that are accessible and affordable because without collective work, progress is impossible, and liberation is unthinkable.

{Ujamaa} Cooperative Economics – To share wealth and work is to share concern, care and responsibility for our dignity and humanity. This is best achieved in a context of shared social wealth, a measure of our ability to build and maintain meaningful connections with others and ensure that everyone has equal access to opportunities and resources, regardless of their race, gender, or socioeconomic status.

{Nia} Purpose – To be intentional and committed to providing anti-oppressive, safe, and brave spaces to Black, brown, and other underrepresented people.

{Kuumba} Creativity – To celebrate and amplify our creative cultural ways of connecting, co-regulating and healing through artistic expression, communal eating, rhythmic movement, singing, moaning, shouting, and praising.

{Imani} Faith – To uplift and honor our community's vast myriad of spiritual expressions. To practice reverence and respect for one’s ancestral, spiritual, and indigenous practices and beliefs that have helped keep us safe and alive. Freedom Reset Symposium With Host: Santa Molina-Marshall, LICSW, SEP, RM, IYT Holistic Psychotherapist Where High-Achieving Women of Color Leaders Reclaim Time,

03/06/2026

Greetings,
My name is Gena Golden a licensed therapist, certified hypnotherapist and neuro-coach that practice from a holistic, culturally attuned, liberation-focused lens.
This month I am challenging myself to jump for joy every day over the next 30 days!

Why?
Because we live in a world that tries to police our bodies, our freedom and joy. And when this happens repeatedly, our nervous systems get dysregulated.

Everyday, I am choosing to be grounded, calm and free to express my humanity through movement, play, and laughter.

When we regularly call in joy, even for a moment, we reclaim our humanity Unapologetically.

For me, right now, imma jump-for-joy!

So if you are down, grab your ropes, skates, hula hoop, or whatever and join me every day for the next 30 days!

Let's practice Rest as resistance.
Rest is reclaiming your nervous system from grind culture, because your body is not a machine.

02/12/2026

Being talked about or the focus of someone attention can be exhausting. Because if they can reduce you to a flaw, they don't have to face the truth and that is- your growth exposes what THEY refuse to heal.

02/11/2026

It's not too late. Don't let fear hold you back from a realizing your potential. Make your future self proud. Let your inner wisdom help navigate potential risks and Just do the thing!
