Small, intentional acts—like drinking hot tea, journaling, or checking on your plants—signal safety to the nervous system.
When the body feels calm, the inner critic doesn’t have to shout to protect you.
And from that regulated place, we can move through systems designed to make us feel small—without believing their story about who we are.”

Liberation doesn’t always arrive as a revolution. Sometimes it looks like waking up and choosing yourself without asking permission.

The life that i want requires strategy and planning. It prioritizes my health and wellbeing, especially as i afe gracefully.

Lately I’ve been paying more attention to how food actually lands in my body and not just what’s convenient, but what feels nourishing. Now that’s the life i want ! Not one that feels tired and bloated.

This plant-based meal is from a local, Black woman–owned delivery service, and I keep coming back because the food feels intentional, flavorful, and made with care. It doesn’t feel like I’m “giving something up”, it feels like I’m giving something to myself.

If you’re curious about plant-based meals that are grounding and satisfying, I’ve shared the link in the comments.

My 6-week collective healing circle for black career women, business owners, entrepreneurs, healers, leaders, and change...
09/29/2025

My 6-week collective healing circle for black career women, business owners, entrepreneurs, healers, leaders, and change agents is beginning soon!

Why is this important?

Because the 'wear and tear' on the body from chronic and toxic stress on black women, particularly, is disheartening. Research shows that the black community and especially black women experience early health deterioration due to the cumulative impact of repeated experiences with social alienation, economic and institutional exclusion, bias, and political marginalization.

My ancestors called on me to host this circle for black women to help mitigate the psychological and physiological 'weathering' effects that most black women endure from sexism, racism, body-shaming, texturism, colorism, fatphobia, ableism, work-based microaggressions and exclusion.

With so much to bear, black women often engage in overthinking, second-guessing, and experience imposter syndrome (despite being educated, experienced and qualified ... come on now!).

In this healing collective circle, we can practice collective healing methods together, such as self-hypnosis, Tapping, mindful breathwork, and other holistic healing techniques, to calm, reset, and rewire our brain and nervous system for optimal functioning and well-being.

Collective healing practices have been around for centuries. It is a powerful and supportive way to experience the benefits of hypnosis (and other healing modalities) in a community of women who share a common cultural and lived experience, with the energy, encouragement, and connection that come from healing alongside others.

Benefits of Collective Healing with HypnoSistah:

Shared Support: Being in a group reminds you that you’re not alone. Many people find comfort and motivation in hearing others’ experiences.

Increased Energy and Motivation: The collective energy often deepens focus and commitment to change.

Skill-Building: You’ll practice techniques and strategies you can continue to use on your own, while hearing how others apply them in their daily lives.

Sense of Belonging and Empowerment: Healing in community fosters connection, trust, and a feeling of being understood.

Affordability: Group sessions are more cost-effective than one-on-one work, making healing more accessible.
