She grew up in a small town in Georgia where her mother and great grandmother showed her the way. She was taught at a young age how to clean and grow her own vegetables and prune trees that produced fruit. She caught fish, cleaned and cooked to likeness. She was also taught how to grow herbs and plants that would prevent and treat disease. As a little girl, she knew if she got cut or scraped, it would easily heal by grabbing the Aloe Vera plant out of the window sill and quickly applying without parental guidance. Nature had become her best friend after loosing her parents at an early age.
