"Innovative Technology System to Prevent Wrong Site Surgery and Capture Near Misses: A Multi-Center Review of 487 Cases" is a seminal article describing the problem of Wrong Site Surgery and the clinical experience utilizing the system to prevent this tragic event.

Today is National Time Out Day and we celebrate with this important tool to prevent . We also celebrate the publication of a multi-center study demonstrating the ability of StartBox to eliminate this . Follow this to review the results.

An evaluation of 487 orthopedic surgery procedures with the StartBox System identified 17 near miss events that could have led to the occurrence of a wrong-site surgery. The use of the System resulted in the occurrence of zero wrong site surgeries.
