No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. There is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income.

This free event is for all new and expecting mothers in southwest and west central Iowa. If you are pregnant, planning for the future, or have an infant less than six months — join us on Saturday, April 18 from 10 to 11:30 am at the Cass County Community Center in Atlantic.

You can enter to win prizes, pick up free baby supplies, learn more about community resources, and enjoy refreshments while meeting individuals from local organizations including Cass Health, Cass County ISU Extension, Iowa Total Care, Wellpoint, Zion Integrated Behavioral Health Services, Catholic Charities, Firefly, and WIC.

Meet Sari! She's a CMA/LPN at the Atlantic Medical Center.

What inspired you to work in healthcare?
Healthcare has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I used to hold clinic with my stuffed animals and dollies on my front porch.

What is the best part of your typical workday?
Other than the camaraderie in our pod, I love helping people, getting to know our patients, their needs, and even some of their families.

What is a hobby that you enjoy outside of work?
My husband and I are outdoors people. We live in the country with our two Labs, Gunner and Tank. We enjoy camping, fishing, and boating in the summer, but during those cold winter months, I indulge in tons of crafting projects.

Morning person or hit-the-snooze person?
I am definitely not a morning person. How many times I hit the snooze button varies based on how long my before-heading-into-work chore list is.

Books, podcasts, or TV?
I do listen to several podcasts, but I am hooked on a specific TV show called Heartland.

Would you rather plan everything or go with the flow?
I am a planner. I have lists for my lists! But I'm not afraid to shift to plan B if plans fall apart.
