New Year New Moon Nidra & Sound Bath
Join and for the first new moon of the new year!
Sunday 1/18 4-6 pm at
The evening will begin with an astrology transmission, where you can learn how to work with the energies and transits that are present. We’ll take a few moments of gentle movement, before getting cozy for the guided Nidra meditation and sound bath. Afterwards, everyone is invited to stay and pull an Oracle card and connect with the community :)

Join Shelby & Lauren for a New Year New Moon gathering!
Sunday, January 18th from 4-6 pm at Ānanda Yoga Studio!
The afternoon will begin with an astrology transmission, where will share how the current astrology might be landing on a collective level, as well as how to work with the energies that are present.
will then guide us through a few moments of gentle movement, before the Nidra meditation and sound bath.
Accessible for all levels, these practices, when combined, co-create a space of deep rest, healing, and relaxation. Yoga Nidra uses body scan, breath, & visualization to guide practitioners into a state of conscious sleep by tapping into the parasympathetic nervous system. Coupled with the frequencies and vibrations of healing instruments, this guided experience is going to be peaceful, tranquil, and nourishing.
The first new moon of the year is a potent time for setting intentions regarding what you’d like to cultivate this year, and letting go of what you’d like to leave behind.
This afternoon is sure to be special.
We will follow the guided experience with an optional sharing circle and community hang, pulling oracle cards and making connections :)

Myofascial release is a self massage technique that deeply releases tension in our tissues.
This practice is a recovery potion. A nervous system reset. A healing salve.
We use balls, blocks, and foam rollers to get into different muscle tissues and unwind tension in the fascia.

One of the most common reasons we hear for people not practicing Yoga is: “I’m not flexible enough.”
That is like saying:
“I’m too dirty to shower.”
“I’m too single to date.”
“I’m too weak to exercise.”
Majority of people are not naturally good at things. Skill often comes with practice.
And beyond the flexibility you can gain from Yoga, the peace of mind is immeasurable.
