To say that I remember you all just on this day would be speaking untruthfully. It seems daily that I am reminded of your lives and the day we had to let you go. I imagine it hits home differently for everyone but as for me it does so with both a profound sense of joy and pain.

I am so joyful that I got to sit so many nights and speak with Doug as we talked family, weddings, future in laws, old Memphis, MPD, kids and God. Seemingly, these conversations alwayd occurred over a bowl of salad sprinkled with red peppers. You were one of the most personable and professional pilots among the many greats I had the joy of sitting behind. I hope we can share a meal again.

I am as equally joyful to have had the opportunity to work with and share life moments with Misty. What a strong woman you are! Such a character too! I will always treasure our talks abouy family, your kiddos, your new home, softball, fishing and just life in general. You never, ever seemed to take it for granted. You were a rock for so many. I hope to hear your words of advice again someday.

I am joyful that I had the opportunity to work with and have a friend like Cindy. She worked so very hard in everything she did. If she gave you a smile, you earned it! She was a very caring and professional nurse who earned everything she obtained. She most definitely earned my friendship, love, honor and respect! I hope can share more bbq’d shrimp, laughs, Bears football games and hugs again.

The pain comes not from just their loss but the daily loss we experience not having them with us and from the sheer joy life was while they were here with us. It truly was one of the best times of my life working and living amongst my friends.

God Bless each of you, your loved ones and always know that you are remembered this day and always!!!

With the dawning of 2024 we would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has taken an interest in our company, the life saving hopes that our potential products represent and the support in our efforts to bring them to market. Truly, without you, the progress towards a further expansion in airway mangement would not be possible.

That being said, we sincerely are in need of a partner or partners who may have the ability to assist us in reaching production. If you are or know of someone who may be interested in joining our team as an investor, please send them our way. Without further help, clinicians may be delayed in experiencing the benefits that Moser Medical can bring to the airway management fight!

Thank you again and we look forward to a monumental year ahead!

All of our fellow providers, whether ground, sea or air. In hospital or pre-hospital. We hope you can appreciate our origination point and why we are so passionate about the subject of Airway Management.

This is the beginning of our story and why we chose to respond. (Names and Entities changed to maintain anonymity of parties and patients involved) The year is 2004.

Dispatch: Flightcom to Guard1.

Guard1: Go Disptach.

Dispatch: Guard1. Respond to MVC, t-bone with roll-over and ejection x1. Pediatric. LZ is secured. Take heading of 173 degrees for distance of 14nm. Coordinates to follow.

Guard1: Roger that. Show us responding. Heading 173 for 14nm. Ready for coordinates when available.

As we land on scene primary nurse finds 11 y/o male supine on roadway, un-responsive with GCS=3. Initiation of cervical spine stabilization occurs. Pt. is found to have gurgling sounds upon minimal snoring spontaneous respirations. Pupils are 7mm, equal, fixed. No nystagmus noted. No posturing noted as well. Attempts at opening the airway are successful via modified jaw thrust. Once partially open material consisting of previously consumed food can be seen within the posterior oropharynx. Suctioning of the airway begins while simultaneous IV access is being gained by FD.

Upon attempting to suction with the yankauer device primary nurse finds that we are being met with milk, blueberries (whole and chewed) and shredded wheat. The yankauer device continually and repetitively gets clogged at the tip with either the blueberry or shredded wheat material. Decision is made to switch to suction tubing alone as no large bore device is available. This proves more successful yet remains limited due to clogging issues. DL was our only available method in that time period so blade initiation finds anatomical structures obscured by gastric material. Decision was then made to switch to magill forceps. As this was occurring suction had been successful to the point of visualizing the uvula upon progression.

Magills were retrieved and handed to primary nurse and upon grasping them anatomical reference was lost due to blade drift. Material was successfully removed via Magill yet milky fluid re-filled the airway necessitating a switch back to the yankauer.

Multiple attempts at securing an airway were finally met with securing of an ett with +etco2, +capnography, + condensation in ETT with BBS during positive ventilations. No loss of hemodynamics occurred during this event. Patient was transferred to Ped Level One facility where he ultimately succumbed to a severe ICB secondary to head trauma.

This event plays out as all to real to many providers across our great nation daily. With greater innovation a hopeful quicker, smoother and impactful airway intervention could have occurred.

Each of our most current of technologies bring benefits and restrictions to bare.

The Moser-Trident is the only suction device which will bring to the fight an ability to suction, grasp, oxygenate, medicate and cannulate in one device thus decreasing drift potential and hopefully the time necessary to secure an airway.

While there is no panacea, Moser Medical represents the greatest instrumentation leap forward in over 100 years!

It still takes the mind, heart and hands of a skilled clinician but we hope to be your faithful, loyal and reliable companion…An Ally in Airway Management!!!

Thank you and hope to see you soon!!

Another aspect of the Moser suction catheter that should be mentioned is its ability to remove semi-viscous fluids in light of a main bore occlusion! (Auxillary Channels which run the length of the tube).

Imagine facing a contaminated and/or soiled airway armed with a suction device which has the ability to not only suction viscous fluids (via 6.5mm bore) but also selectively grasp foreign bodies (teeth, tissue, food particles, etc.). (Via grasping jaws).

That could be beneficial and “game changing”.

Also imagine the additional abilities to introduce medications (oxygen, bronchodilators, etc.) and/or cannulate the glottis per bougie... all with the same device! (Via auxillary port).

The Moser, coming soon to a clinician near you!
