As Black History Month comes to a close, we take time to reflect and express gratitude — for the contributions of Black leaders in healthcare, the dedication of our staff, the trust of our patients, and the strength of our community partnerships.

At Sturdy Health, our commitment to equity, inclusion, and compassionate care continues today and every day.

For Attleboro resident Judith Forget, Sturdy Health has been there through life’s most challenging moments, as a trusted source of care, comfort, and compassion.

From standing beside her late husband, Don, during his cancer treatment, to navigating her own cancer diagnosis and recovery, Judith found reassurance in familiar faces and a team that truly listened. More recently, when she needed emergency and inpatient care, it was the small moments — clear communication, kindness, and thoughtful attention to her time and comfort — that made all the difference.

Judith’s story is a powerful reminder that exceptional care can be found close to home, delivered by people who treat patients like family.

For heart care close to home -- from prevention and screenings to advanced cardiac care -- Sturdy Health is here for our community every step of the way.

Cardiologist George Waters, MD, says a first step in caring for your heart is to keep up with regular checkups and recommended screenings — early detection is key to protecting your heart. Your provider can help you control blood pressure and cholesterol levels, two important actions to protect your heart health.

This Heart Month, we’re proud to support healthier hearts across our region — today and for years to come.

Meet Corey Quadir, an Imaging Ultrasound Technologist who has been part of the Sturdy Health family for nine years. Corey plays a vital role in helping patients and providers find important answers while working alongside a team she truly values.

While many people think of ultrasound only in connection with pregnancy, Corey is quick to point out that ultrasound helps evaluate soft tissue organs, guides biopsies and procedures, and supports a wide range of diagnostic needs across the hospital, making it a critical part of patient care every day.

We’re grateful for Corey’s expertise, dedication, and positive energy at Sturdy Health.
