✨What IS Myofascial Release?✨
Myofascial Release (MFR) taps into our bodies connective tissue system, or FASCIA, by using gentle but sustained pressure and stretching to release tension and restrictions.
✨What is FASCIA?✨
Fascia is a vital, interconnected network of connective tissue (mostly collagen) that wraps, supports, and separates muscles, organs, bones, nerves, and blood vessels throughout your entire body, acting like a continuous web to hold everything in place.
Fascia can become dense and restricted due to poor posture, trauma and inactivity causing pain, stiffness and restricted movement.
Fascia is also intelligent. It can store suppressed emotions and show evidence of anxiety and emotional disturbances.
✨Who can benefit from Myofascial Release?✨
EVERYONE! When people say "the body keeps the score", what they really mean is the FASCIA keeps the score. If you've ever sustained an injury, the fascia may still be affecting your movement and body posture! Fascia can stay restricted for YEARS, progressively tightening and pulling on nearby structures.
