Busy all week and still guessing.

I was there. I ran on feeling. Some weeks felt packed, then the card bill hit and a client paid late. I could not say what was working.

I changed one thing. I wrote five numbers on a sticky note and checked them every Monday. Stress eased. Decisions got simple. I knew where the money stood, what blocks were open, and who to follow up with.

Problem: guessing hides the truth.

Outcome: calm control and one clear next step each week.

My advice: build one tiny board and update it once a week. Make one move from it.

Small leaks are eating your month.

I patched leaks at home until the bill was bigger than a real fix. Business works the same. Old subscriptions, duplicate tools, idle ads. Alone they are tiny. Together they drain profit.

You are wearing all the hats and every day feels like a sprint. I have been there. In my first year out of corporate I dragged that busy habit with me. A coach asked me to live one week of an ideal schedule. It was hard. It was also the week I stopped spinning.

The problem is a calendar packed with work that does not fit your real life. The outcome you want is calm focus. You want to end the week knowing your promises matched your capacity and the work that matters is done.

My advice. Build one honest week and protect it. Let life go first, then place the work that pays and the work that moves the business.

With the recent outbreak of EHV my thoughts and prayers are with all those in the horse community that have been directly affected.

For all my horse friends stay vigilant and safe.

⚠️🐴 EHV OUTBREAK: What Every Horse Owner Needs to Know

If you haven't heard, a WPRA event in Waco, Texas has been identified as the source of a growing EHV-1 outbreak — including several neurological cases (EHM). Horses from across the region attended, and since then, multiple barns have reported positives.

This article breaks down:

• why some horses show no signs at all
• the risks of neurological involvement
• what veterinarians and the Texas Animal Health Commission are doing now
• what YOU can do to protect your barn

You are wearing all the hats and you are tired. You finally fill your calendar and the profit is still thin. That is pricing by feel. It looks normal on the surface and drains you underneath.

My advice: make your price do the work. Price on a plan, not on nerves. When your number covers delivery, shares the lights on costs, and leaves room to pay yourself, everything gets clearer. Fewer surprises. Calmer month. Better decisions.

If late arrivals turn into longer sessions and unpaid invoices sit all week, it is not a motivation problem. It is a boundary problem. Flexibility without clear rules drains your energy and your income.

The outcome you want is a calmer calendar, focused sessions, and money that arrives on time.

My advice is to keep it simple. Write a few clear policies in plain language and use them in your emails, invoices, and booking notes. Your clients will appreciate knowing how it works. You will feel the stress lift.
