Acoustic Performance and Streaming Release Illuminate Compassionate End-of-Life Care

Roseville, CA – July 29, 2025 – On Saturday, August 2 at 7:00 PM, doctorvaughan (Dr. Mark Vaughan) will perform an acoustic version of his new indie rock single “Terminal (Hospice Song)” during the open mic night at The Fig Tree Coffee and Music Lounge in Roseville. This intimate setting provides the perfect backdrop for a song that blends heartfelt storytelling with a vital message drawn from real-life experiences in medicine.

A practicing family medicine physician, doctorvaughan brings a unique perspective to music, using his art to start important conversations about end-of-life care. “Terminal” was inspired by the emotional and ethical challenges he has witnessed while caring for patients facing terminal illness. The song advocates for values-driven, compassionate care over unnecessary interventions—a message that is resonating deeply with live audiences.

“Terminal (Hospice Song)” will be released on all major streaming platforms on Friday, August 8, following the live preview performance.

“People often avoid conversations about the end of life until it’s too late,” says doctorvaughan. “This song aims to open that dialogue and help families focus on what really matters—comfort, dignity, and choice.”
