Tinnitus can be described as a ringing, buzzing, hissing, or humming sound in your ears, or head. Texas Roadhouse supports the American Tinnitus Association in honor of their late founder who struggled with tinnitus.

She’s a female neurosurgeon from Georgia and shares so much knowledge on her page. I was so impressed to see her take the time to discuss hearing loss and cognition today! If it’s important to neurosurgeons, it should be important to all of us too!

When applying sunscreen, don’t forget about your ears! When our doctors are looking into your ear canal to check for wax they’re also taking a close look at your exterior ear for anything that may look abnormal, primarily looking for skin cancer type concerns. If concerns arise, we will refer you to our local ENT clinic for further examination!

Regardless of what you see on the internet, there is no “cure” for tinnitus (that pesky ringing, buzzing, or hissing sound you might hear). However, there are many things to consider when it comes to managing, and understanding, your tinnitus. Our doctors take our tinnitus consultations very seriously spending 90 minutes to truly understand what you’re experiencing and how it is impacting your life, and then working together to craft a treatment plan that makes most sense for YOU!

Congratulations to all of our IU fans out there! What a game! For those of you who went to the game, it sounded LOUD from my TV. If your ears are still ringing after your travels home, Dr. Shelley, our IU fan, would love to be your tinnitus expert to help you understand what might be happening. Purdue fans… it’ll be our time eventually and I’ll be your caretaker when the day comes!
