February is Low Vision Awareness Month.
Low vision is a loss of eyesight that can't be meaningfully improved with conventional glasses, contacts, surgeries or other medical interventions. Everyday tasks like reading, driving, or even recognizing faces can be impacted by those who experience low vision. A variety of eye disorders or conditions can lead to low vision, like:
-Diabetes
-AMD
-Cataracts
-Glaucoma
-Birth defects
-Eye injuries
Through comprehensive eye exams, you can help reduce your chance of developing low vision and maintain the best possible vision.
Together, we can raise awareness and provide hope.
