Rincon del Rio - Retirement Community Rincon del Rio is an Intentional Living Community. We're nestled comfortably in the Sierra foothills Rincon del Rio is located in Nevada County, California.

The community sits on 225 acres bordering the Bear River. Eighty-five percent of the property is reserved as open space with miles of walking and equestrian trails. The river provides a welcoming environment for a variety of water fowl as does the three-acre pond. Situated at 1,200 feet, the community is below the snow of the Sierras and above the fog of the Sacramento Valley.

Rincon del Rio means ~ “Bend of The River” – Like a river, you may have noticed lately that your life is gently changing course. We have some ideas about that we think you might find interesting – maybe even life altering. We are an Intentional Living Community. This is to say, one constructed to provide aging-in-place accommodations that emphasize choice, control, and continuity of life-long connections and activities.

Rincon del Rio has assembled a local team of close allies, all motivated to build an extremely responsive senior environment in Nevada County:

Dale Creighton and SCO Planning and Engineering have carefully considered all options and have designed a community with thoughtful placement and clustering of the housing. His company has valuable expertise in guiding projects through changing regulation and policy environments. Chuck Durrett and McCamant & Durrett Architects are experts in designing housing and mixed-use environments that facilitate community, enhance quality of life, and are pedestrian friendly and sustainable. This project is dedicated to making sure the living arrangements are designed to foster caring relations and long-lasting friendships, and to create green and sustainable environments. Jim and Carol Young want for you what they want for themselves: Abundant Living and Successful Aging in a community that offers familiar surroundings and culture in a natural environment. In her 30+ years of experience in real estate in this area, Debbie Krogman has learned what matters most: Earning her clients long-term trust, respect, and friendship. In a word, Debbie is the “BEST”. Peter Lemmon offers expert services in Real Estate Law, Administrative Law, Business Formation, and Public Law. He is extremely proficient and knowledgeable. Full Spectrum Marketing is led by Andy Burton. He is genius at constructing a plan specifically designed to meet your business goals and objectives.
