A few years ago, I (Jonathan Hallsted) met Dr. Samir (center in white coat) at Harpur Hospital in Menouf, Egypt, as we were embarking on a Pediatric project with them. We learned today that Dr. Samir passed away. 😢. He served God faithfully in the medical field, both as a doctor and as a leader. He left a legacy of growth and development in the medical field in an underserved region of the world, for God's glory.

👉 Join us to hear a brief update directly from V.E.T. Net’s leaders and 30 minutes of prayer for this inspiring next chapter in Mongolia.

Healthbridge Global is partnering with V.E.T. Net, a remarkable team of Christian veterinarians bringing both care and the gospel to Mongolia’s remote herdsmen. Through veterinary work, they’re building gospel-centered relationships across the countryside. 🩵

V.E.T. Net is following God’s call to build a new Clinical Training Facility - a sustainable, climate-controlled center that will expand their ability to train and send more vets, reach more families, and share Christ’s love farther than ever before! 👀

The term partnership is used frequently in nonprofit work, yet what happens on the ground often diverges from the true meaning of the word. Often, what well-meaning organizations call a partnership looks more like “we bring the money, you do the work.” That’s called employment, at best. 👀

At Healthbridge Global, we are committed to avoiding this imbalance.

Real partnership (like a business partnership) implies some level - not always equal - of shared work, shared commitment, and shared financial risk. In that spirit, Healthbridge Global requires that our local partners, regardless of their limited resources, contribute something financially tangible to each project. 🤝

That creates skin-in-the-game, which leads to true partnership.

In turn, we as an organization from the U.S. bring our own strengths in strategy, planning, advocacy, and yes, financial support also. 💎

All of this works toward the goal of creating true partnerships in global missional medical initiatives; collaborations rooted in mutual investment and shared purpose.

While this is not technically a HealthBridge Global project, we have a lot of admiration for what Andy Agaba at Hiinga and Karis Medical are doing in East Africa. With God‘s grace, Andy and his team ARE building a vertical healthcare system - from a nursing school, to hospitals, to community satellite clinics, to telemedicine; all while demonstrating the love and dignity of Christ to the people of Uganda.

We spent the day seeing what’s already been accomplished and what’s coming soon.

Andy - thank you for your vision, for sharing it with us, and for your friendship.

And…don’t forget to put that Pickleball court on the roof.
