Q: What brought you to True40?
A: I had been looking for a place to work out consistently and was trying studios all over Auburn. I ended up going to my first True40 class on a whim with a friend and was immediately hooked! I remember feeling so uplifted and realizing there was no need for perfection in my movement. Little did I know that one class would turn into a community that’s become one of my biggest sources of encouragement.
Q: Which True40 value means the most to you? (transformation, refinement, unity, empowerment, and 40 stands for renewal)
A: The value of Refinement means the most to me because the more I go to True40, the better I feel, both mentally and physically. I’ve also always loved the significance of the number 40 in the Bible as a period of preparation and transformation. True40 has helped me connect to that idea in a really personal way. It’s become a space where I feel like I’m growing, being refined, and preparing myself to live more fully and reflect Christ in my everyday life.
Q: What other ways do you love to “move true, be you,” outside of True40?
A: To me, “move true, be you” looks like fully embracing college life and not taking a single day for granted. It’s about showing up each day with a sense of possibility and positivity, even during the most mundane class days or the busiest test weeks. As a junior, I don’t take lightly how special this time is, so I try to live it out by saying yes to opportunities, being present, and loving the people around me well every day.
