Here are some special throwback photos from our visit to KinderReady in October! Judy and Maureen thoughtfully prepared bags filled with treats and toys for Teacher Audrey’s class. As always, the students were so lively, entertaining, and welcoming. If they could have, Maureen, Pat, Donna, and Ken would have loved to spend the entire day just having fun with the kids!

A visit to a pumpkin patch is a fall tradition that never gets old! Pat, Maureen, Tom, and Ken had an amazing time exploring Little Field Farms, where each year brings new sights and surprises. They wandered through rows of wildflowers, posed for photos among festive displays, and browsed stands overflowing with colorful pumpkins.

There’s no forgetting this past Halloween because the whole day was filled with laughter, creativity, and nonstop fun through games like witch BINGO, the left-right game, and a Hitchcock film quiz. The costume contest was a highlight, showcasing everyone’s spirited and clever outfits. Thanks to Kelly and the dining staff, we didn’t need to go trick-or-treating for snacks since they treated us to a delicious Halloween spread that nearly spoiled our appetites for dinner.

A new addition to our scheduled activities is paper crafts with our talented guest, Nancy! Regulars Sue, Sharon, Lois, Shirley, Marthine, Dorothy, and Jo’Ann eagerly joined in for the latest session. This time, they crafted Halloween greeting cards that were nothing short of ghoulishly cute and frightfully fun!

Redbud Nursery was among the featured stops on Placer County’s Farm and Barn Tour last Sunday. Tom, Ken, and Maureen eagerly joined in, drawn by the promise of live entertainment, free popcorn, and the welcoming atmosphere created by both friendly dogs and people. Tom’s wife, Sharon, came along as well, adding to the fun and making this afternoon outing even more enjoyable.

Residents were all toothy smiles when they posed for our autumn photoshoot, which featured Chris’s black ’77 GMC pick-up as part of the backdrop. A bit of friendly encouragement was all it took to get even the shy ones to join in. Since so many participated, we’re sharing the pictures in two separate posts.

We’re bringing loads of cuteness to the spooky season. Residents made friendly ghosts that they plan to give to little kiddos in the spirit of Halloween. With help from their activity coordinator, they also created framed yarn ghosts full of personality, and all of them will soon be part of our October decor!
