✨ New Year’s Eve & January Hours Update ✨
In support of our incredible staff spending time with their families, our office will close early on New Year’s Eve. We will reopen on Friday, January 2.
As we head into the new year, we’d also like to share a few important updates to our January hours:
🕗 Patient appointment hours remain the same:
• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Time to set up some personal training?

Here's what a client said about team!!

"Personal training is more than pushing you to do more, or cheerleading your graduation to increased weights or reps. The professional team at CMCC significantly improved my health, functional capabilities, and quality of life. They listen and then focus on underlying weaknesses, differentiating between symptoms and causes. My balance is dramatically improved, my ‘bad’ shoulder is remarkably better, and my ankle and knee instability has been significantly alleviated. There’s more but suffice it to say that my twice-weekly regimen adds to my sense of well-being and overall vitality."

Many of the folks we see, don't get enough water and often reach for drinks with tons of stuff we don't need in them.
Here are some ideas to increase your fluids in a healthier manner- if you want some flavor and don't like plain water!!!

Here are simple, low-calorie, natural drink ideas to help increase water intake without added sugars or fuss. All use minimal ingredients, no sweeteners required, and work great for daily hydration.

1. Fruit & Herb Infused Waters

Add these ingredients to a large jar or water bottle and let sit for at least 1 hour (or overnight for stronger flavor).

Classic Combos

Lemon + cucumber + mint

Orange + blueberry

Strawberry + basil

Lime + raspberry

Pineapple + mint

Refreshing & Mild

Apple slices + cinnamon stick

Ginger slices + lemon

Watermelon cubes + rosemary

2. Light Cold-Brewed Teas (Unsweetened)

Cold brewing reduces bitterness and keeps the flavor soft.

Green Teas

Citrus green tea: Add a slice of orange or lemon to cold-brew green tea.

Mint green tea: Add a few fresh mint leaves.

Jasmine green tea: Steep jasmine tea bags in cold water overnight for a floral, calorie-free drink.

Herbal Teas

Peppermint iced tea

Hibiscus iced tea (tart, beautiful red color)

Chamomile + lemon

3. Spa-Style Water Boosters

For days you need variety without extra work.

Add a splash of 100% fruit juice (1–2 tablespoons) to a large water bottle.

Use frozen fruit cubes instead of ice: freeze berries, pineapple, or cucumber in an ice cube tray with water.

Add a few drops of pure vanilla extract for a warm, cozy flavor.

Use sparkling water as a base for any of the above.

4. “Almost Lemonade” & Other Light Mocktails

These use very small amounts of fruit for flavor—still extremely low calorie.

Almost Lemonade: 1–2 tsp fresh lemon + ice + water + optional mint.

Cucumber Cooler: muddle 2–3 cucumber slices + squeeze of lime + sparkling water.

Ginger Spritz: 1–2 thin slices of fresh ginger + lemon + cold sparkling water.

Repeat random words in your head as a way to drown out your worries — the more random, the better. According to Dr. Shelby Harris, Psy.D., C.BSM, a licensed clinical psychologist, sleep expert, and director of sleep health at Sleepopolis, cognitive shuffling offers a structured approach to managing your thoughts, and it really can have a calming effect on the brain. It may also help during stressful moments as you try to calm your system.

Small steps can help when practiced regularly.

Sometimes your body needs a hug more than it needs advice.
A single hug can calm your nervous system, lower stress, lift your mood, and remind you that you’re not alone.

There’s real science behind this — and it’s more powerful than you think.
