Join in April for a Yoga for Dudes series at the studio! A little bit about the teacher-
Jake Panasevich is a yoga teacher with over 18 years of experience, and he specializes in teaching yoga for men and athletes. He has experience teaching professional athletes on the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Union. He also started a grass-roots men’s class in Philly that grew to over 150 men in less than 6 months.
Jake developed a style of yoga that is accessible for men and is built to help men get out of pain, avoid or recover from injuries, and become stronger, more flexible, coordinated, balanced and help with losing weight without losing their minds. His style focuses on alignment, biomechanics, safety and moving slow and strong into poses that are appropriate for men. His classes are also a wonderful way for men to work on your mental health without making it awkward or uncomfortable.
Jake is a health journalist for U.S. News & World Report, with a focus on linking healthy lifestyle choices like yoga to research, and his teaching is based on scientific findings, which often gets lost in yoga. He has been featured as a specialist in men’s yoga in Men’s Health, Huffington Post, NPR, Philly Inquirer, Business Insider and Yoga International.
