✨ Holiday Food Drive for Auburn Interfaith Food Closet! ✨

The season of giving is here, and Sierra Ridge is proud to partner with the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet for our Holiday Food Drive!

We invite our friends, families, and neighbors to help make this Thanksgiving season a little brighter for local families in need. You can drop off donations at Auburn Interfaith (1788 Auburn Ravine Road) OR right here, at Sierra Ridge in Auburn!

Llook for our big, beautifully decorated collection bin (lovingly decorated by one of our creative Residents 💛).

We’re accepting items such as:
🫘 Canned beans, soups/broths, and veggies
🍝 Pasta, rice, crackers, cookies and condiments
🍓 Jellies and jams
🧴 Toiletries like deodorant, toothpaste, and shampoo

Every contribution — big or small — makes a difference! Let’s come together as a community to spread kindness, warmth, and gratitude this holiday season.

🎃👻 Halloween fun is in full swing at our Community! 👻🎃

Today we kicked off the Halloween spirit with a lively party featuring entertainment by JD on guitar! Our residents looked spooktacular dressed as witches, and we all enjoyed delicious sweets, festive treats, and plenty of dancing. 💃🕺

But who let the caveman in?! Haha

It was such a fun and festive way to get ready for the big night tomorrow! We’re looking forward to our spooky movie night with more treats, giggles, and goosebump-worthy stories to come! 🍬🎥✨

🎃🧁 A Spooktacular Day of Creativity! 🧁🎃

Today, we embraced the Halloween spirit with a full day of festive fun! We started the morning by decorating some spooky (and sweet!) Halloween cupcakes — complete with lots of frosting, sprinkles, and full bellies! 🤣 In the afternoon, we rolled up our sleeves for some pumpkin painting and carving, creating adorable jack-o’-lanterns that are now lighting up our community with their glowing smiles.

It was a wonderful day filled with creativity, laughter, and plenty of Halloween cheer! 👻🧡🎨

🇩🇪 Oktoberfest Celebration! 🍺🥨🎶

Yesterday our memory care community “traveled” to Germany for a fun-filled Oktoberfest celebration! We began the day with a scenic German travelogue, followed by an engaging discussion and some lively German trivia.

Our afternoon was full of laughter, music, and flavor — with an amazing spread of traditional German food, authentic drinks, and a special performance of German folk music by Ciprian on the violin! Our entertainer even dressed in lederhosen, and our staff joined the fun in dirndls!

We wrapped up the day with a cozy movie matinee featuring The Sound of Music (filmed in Germany), complete with beer cheese dip and pretzels. 🧀🥨🇩🇪

🌿 Happy Hour Serenity 🌿
We are always so delighted to have Lisa the Harpist join us! Her beautiful music always brings such calm and joy to our community. Her soothing melodies help us all feel grounded, peaceful, and connected — it’s truly a relaxing way to spend the day. 😌💜

A special highlight of the afternoon was our resident Don, who had the chance to play the harp himself! He did such a wonderful job and had the biggest smile while strumming along.

🍁October Brunch Celebration! 🍁

This past weekend, our community gathered for a wonderful October brunch filled with delicious food, live entertainment, and plenty of laughter. It was such a joy to see our residents, families, and friends all together sharing smiles, stories, and music. 💕

We started the day by making flower arrangements for the tables and ended with an upbeat performance of classic rock and roll! 🎵🎤🎸

Moments like these remind us how special it is to be part of such a warm and loving community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable! 🥰🍳🎶

🌿🐒 Documentary Day with Jane Goodall! 🐒🌿

Today for our weekly documentary program, our residents enjoyed a National Geographic film about the incredible Jane Goodall. Everyone was so engaged and fascinated by her story and the amazing work she’s done with chimpanzees and wildlife conservation.

Before and after the showing, we shared a lively group discussion about what we learned — and it was inspiring to see how much everyone took away from it! 🎥💬
