International Association of Firefighters Local 1352 represents over 100 uniformed members. Proudly serving the citizens of Algona, Auburn, and Pacific.

Today, IAFF Local 1352 Valley Professional Firefighters took part in the Firefighter Stairclimb at the Columbia Center. This grueling event, involving 69 floors and 1,356 steps climbed in full turnout gear and on air, pushes firefighters to their limits. The stairclimb brings together firefighters from across the nation and multiple countries to raise funds and awareness for the fight against blood cancers. Currently the team has raised over $19,000! We're proud of our members representing IAFF Local 1352 for backing such a crucial cause. More pictures and details will follow.

Congratulations to Captain Joel Strange on an incredible 34 years of service to the fire service!
For 28 of those years, Joel proudly served the communities of the legacy Auburn Fire Department and Valley Regional Fire Authority. His steady leadership, dedication to mentorship, and unwavering commitment to the job have left a lasting mark on the organization and the firefighters who had the privilege to work alongside him.
Thirty-four years of answering the call, serving with integrity, and putting community first is a legacy to be proud of.

What an incredible day at our annual Toys for Kids handout. Local 1352 was proud to help deliver Christmas to 300 families and almost 700 kids right here in our community. Heartbreaking news from Tacoma tonight. Washington State Patrol Trooper Tara Guting was killed after being struck by a vehicle while working an accident scene. Only 13 months out of the academy, her life and career were cut far too short. Keeping her family and our law enforcement family in our thoughts.

Valley Professional Fire Fighters, IAFF Local 1352 were back in Auburn this morning sign waiving in support of the re-elections of Mayor Nancy Backus and Council Member Lisa Stirgus! Both of which, are strong advocates for a safer community by standing behind our Police and Fire departments. Please remember to VOTE! Ballots are due by 8pm on November 4th.
