For so long, simply surviving the day was your norm. It’s common to feel like your new self “doesn’t fit” the way you thought it would. In the beginning of your recovery journey, everything can feel different: your emotions, your boundaries, your confidence, and your approach to life.

Allow yourself time to grow into this healthier version of yourself. Be patient and gentle with yourself. You don’t have to be exactly where you envisioned yourself being immediately.

You’re building a life that you won’t want to escape, and that new version of yourself is so worth it!
