How does our new arterial compression device, ARTAIRA work?

ARTAIRA delivers 120 mmHg sequential compression therapy in a simple, repeating cycle that supports blood flow through coordinated foot, ankle, and calf chamber inflation followed by a relaxation phase.

This rhythmic pattern helps encourage circulation while keeping therapy comfortable and easy to use.

Living with lymphedema doesn’t mean putting your daily routine on hold.

In fact, many people successfully manage swelling by building therapy into activities they already do—like walking throughout the day, wearing compression garments as recommended, and scheduling pneumatic compression sessions during evening downtime.

Consistency matters more than complexity when it comes to long-term management.

In our latest blog, we share simple ways therapy can fit naturally into an active lifestyle—at home, at work, and even while traveling. 💙

With the right approach, therapy can become part of a normal, active lifestyle—supporting mobility, comfort, and long-term health. What is Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) — and why does it matter?

Peripheral Arterial Disease occurs when plaque builds up in the arteries that supply blood to the legs and feet. Over time, this buildup narrows the arteries and reduces blood flow.

When circulation is reduced, tissues may not receive the oxygen and nutrients they need to stay healthy. This can make it harder for the body to heal wounds and fight infection.

PAD affects an estimated 10–12 million Americans, yet many cases remain undiagnosed.
Why is awareness important?

Early detection allows patients and clinicians to address circulation problems before serious complications such as chronic wounds or limb-threatening ischemia develop.

Understanding PAD and recognizing the importance of vascular health can help support better outcomes for patients.

As Lymphedema Awareness Month comes to a close, it’s important to remember that awareness doesn’t end in March.

An estimated 8–10 million people in the United States are living with lymphedema, and continued education helps support earlier recognition, better management, and stronger patient outcomes.

To help keep awareness going, we created an easy-to-follow infographic.

Take a moment to explore the infographic and share it with someone who may benefit.

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) occurs when narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the legs and feet. This can affect circulation, mobility, and the body’s ability to heal wounds.

While medical care and vascular evaluation are critical, there are also steps patients can take at home to help support circulation and overall vascular health.

Helpful habits include:

• Staying physically active, particularly through walking programs

• Checking your feet daily for wounds or skin changes

• Managing conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol

• Following your healthcare provider’s treatment plan

• Maintaining a heart-healthy diet, prioritizing sleep, and supporting a healthy lifestyle

For some patients, clinicians may also recommend adjunct therapies designed to support circulation. Noninvasive treatments like ARTAIRA® arterial compression therapy can be used as part of a comprehensive care plan for certain PAD patients.

If you have concerns about circulation in your legs or feet, speak with a healthcare professional.
