Our friends in the Central Philippines were just devastated—again—by a double calamity: an earthquake followed by a typhoon. Thousands of people are now displaced and without access to food or clean water.
In this critical moment, the HAND Philippines team (which some of our nursing staff will join in February) is tirelessly working on the ground in the mountainous regions of Cebu Province to deliver essential relief aid to difficult-to-reach communities. They will be expanding into other areas in the next few days. Their efforts provide food, clean water, and crucial first-aid supplies to those most in need, while they await further assistance from the Red Cross and the Philippine government.
