✨Mohs Monday ✨
This lovely gentleman had an aggressive subtype of basal cell carcinoma on his earlobe. It was removed with Mohs surgery, which has a 99% cure rate in the hands of a fellowship trained Mohs surgeon, and repaired by Dr. Paine at the same appointment. You can see minimal scarring at his suture removal, which will continue to improve over a 6-12 week period.

Myth: You can’t get sunburned in the winter. ⛄

❌ BUSTED ❌ UV rays from the sun are present year round! In fact, if you skip your sunscreen in the winter you could actually be more susceptible to sunburn because UV rays are amplified by reflective surfaces like snow. So, don’t skip the SPF on that ski trip! ⛷️

Mohs Monday ✨This lovely gentleman had a basal cell removed from his nose by Dr. Paine. Here you can see the defect after surgery, followed by closure with a rotation flap and minimal scarring already by the suture removal at 1 week. This technique will allow him to have very minimal scarring in such a visible place. That’s a win! 🙌
