One of my favs we will talk about at my next plant walk 😉

Crossvine is blooming! This is one of the BEST plants for energy/fatigue and getting some extra “oomph” to help make it through the day.

I tincture the leaves and take about 15-30 drops or so, a couple times a day.

You have to be careful not to mistake it for Carolina jessamine, which has similarly-shaped flowers that come out around the same time.

Carolina jessamine flowers are fully yellow and smell like perfume/candy.

Crossvine flowers are orange on the outside with yellow petals. It has an almost caramel-like smell.

A second lookalike is trumpet creeper, which has fully orange flowers, but very different leaves.
