Update: Sadly the people we started training for these positions didn't work out and we are posting the positions again. Please share, share, share! We have so many providers offices in each area looking for some office time and we could build a full time schedule in each area pretty quickly for someone. There is huge demand in us expanding our services to more office with more availability for patients to choose from. Along with increasing in-home appointment availabilties. :)

Position 1: Part Time to Full Time Phlebotomist (Southern Maine) - Ideally someone who lives somewhere between Kennebunk/Sanford areas. This will be starting out part time until a full time schedule is filled up. You will cover many office locations on a rotating schedule and perform in-home blood draws for home bound patients. Looking for 3-5 years experience in drawing blood. Ability to take care of Pediatric/Nursing Homes is a must. However, training with Head Phlebotomist is required before being sent on own (2-4 months depending on needs).

Position 2: Part Time to Full Time Phlebotomist (Bangor/Brewer Maine) - Ideally someone who lives within 10-15 miles of Bangor/Brewer. This will be starting out part time until a full time schedule is filled up. You will cover many office locations on a rotating schedule and perform in-home blood draws for home bound patients. Looking for 3-5 years experience in drawing blood. Ability to take care of Pediatric/Nursing Homes is a must. As always such a great weekend at the Maine Chiropractic Association Conference in Portland. I brought the bin of toys from my waiting room (magnetic tiles and lincoln logs). Some of the kiddos had fun building things.

Update: We have hired someone for Position 1 in Augusta. They will be starting next week and we'll see how things work out but I think it will be a good fit with us here at LPS! I'll do an announcement soon her introducing them.

Hey Everyone! We have grown so much that we have outgrown our office space in Augusta. I'll looking for a new space as soon as possible within the Augusta area or within 20-30 miles from it to keep us central. We are looking for multi rooms and somewhere between 700-1000 sq feet. If anyone knows of anything or has some connections, please send us a message. Thank you so much in advance!

Idea: I've thrown around in my head the idea of a bigger space to share with a provider maybe also. So if any providers looking to get a space going and want to go in on something bigger together. Let me know. Trying to keep this centrally located to the Augusta area.

Chiropractors Conference Weekend!

So I've been dreading typing and sending this update for awhile now. I was really trying to hold off until we had another phlebotomist on board, but with projected price increases coming in the short future, I do need to finally increase my fees. Starting JULY 1ST, 2025 the following changes listed below will take effect.

In-Office Blood Draw Fee: $35 to $40 per patient
In-Home Blood Draw Fee: Minimum Rate - $50 to $75; Mileage - $1.50 to $1.75 a mile per patient
Multi-Patient In-Home Discount: 25% off to 50% off for the second, third and fourth patient's in-home fee, first patient doesn't qualify for this discount.
Rush Fee/After Hours: $250 to $300
Transport Fee: $400 to $450 (Out of State - Mass); In-State doesn't change at all
Therapeutic Phlebotomy: Now Pricing Available for In-Home instead of just in the Augusta Office (Form Required from Providers)

Please take note that the last time we changed our rates was 2022. January 2022 the in-office rate was increased and December 2022 the in-home rates were increased. So I really have been holding off as long as possible to touch the rates. This will be added as an alert on the website to make sure patients who visit it are aware.
