Most of us don't think much about our kidneys but 37 million adults in the United States have kidney disease. 90% of people with kidney disease do not know they have it.
1 in 3 adults is at risk due to diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, or family history. More than 90,000 Americans are currently waiting for a kidney transplant. 13 people die each day waiting for a kidney transplant.
Simple blood and urine tests can detect kidney disease early, when treatment is most effective. Early detection can slow or even prevent progression to kidney failure.

We applaud πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ Wendell Lindor, our exceptional community health worker, who was a finalist in a recent award for his extraordinary compassion and dedication to serving agricultural workers in rural Maine. His efforts have made a profound and meaningful difference in the lives of those he serves, providing them with personalized care and support that acknowledges their unique needs and backgrounds. By doing so, Wendell has not only improved the health outcomes of his clients but has also fostered a sense of trust and understanding within the community. His tireless efforts have created a ripple effect, inspiring others to follow in his footsteps and make a positive impact in the lives of those around them.

The numbers are in! In 2025 we hosted 161 mobile clinics across the state. That was a 53% increase in the amount of clinics we were able to do in 2024. We are looking forward to great things in 2026 as we continue to work to bring healthcare access to more patients this year.πŸŽ‰πŸ™Œ

MMHP is out working to help provide health care in our communities. The cost of health care continues to rise and we are commited to providing high quality health care to our patients. Mobile clinics lower healthcare costs by reducing overhead, preventing expensive ER visits through early intervention and prevention, and increasing access for underserved groups, offering significant returns on investment (ROI) by addressing health issues before they escalate.

Unfortunately, there's no way to put a positive spin on these worrying numbers.
