For our November , we’d like you to meet Howard!

He was chosen because of his fun personality! He enjoys talking to everyone and is always up for joining activities.

One thing he loves about living at Barclay House is how quickly the staff and residents got to know him and made him feel right at home. He also enjoys showcasing his musical abilities during our Karaoke Mic Drop Mondays.

Fun fact: He was an announcer at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. He also volunteered to sing the national anthem at the Winston-Salem baseball team’s closing-season game.

Howard has brought so much life to Barclay House, and we are so lucky to have him!

For our November , we would like to recognize Mindy! She has been with Barclay House for a year and has quickly become a vital part of our community.

Mindy is one of our Cooks here at Barclay House. She is an extremely hard worker and always goes above and beyond for our residents. She brings joy to our events, dressing up for any occasion and serving with amazing hospitality.

Her favorite part of working at Barclay House is joking around with residents and making them laugh.

Fun Fact: She has a mini farm at home, raising dogs, cats, chickens, and rabbits, and she also has a bird.

Thank you, Mindy, for all that you do. Congratulations!

What Jan enjoys most is getting to know each resident and their family, learning about their background and connecting them with others who share their interests. By listening and caring, she helps make the transition into community living easier and more comfortable. 💛🤝🏡
