In recognition of National Social Work Month, we’re honored to highlight another resident and social work hero who truly embodies this year’s theme: Uplift. Defend. Transform. 💙
Bob Emery is an Army Veteran, born and raised in Maine, who has dedicated his life to serving others—especially his fellow Veterans.
Bob joined the American Legion in the early 1960s, where he held several leadership roles and served as a liaison, helping Veterans connect with the VA to receive the benefits they earned. His commitment to advocacy continued during his time working here at MVH Augusta, where he supported fellow Veterans and worked with the VA on their behalf.
We are proud to stand by Bob and honor his lifelong commitment to service. 🇺🇸
